• Developing and conduct a research project on human rights and labour law.
• Editing and selecting journal articles for publication in the Journal of Southeast Asian Human Rights.
• Providing a course of lectures and colloquiums to the faculty and students at the University of Jember on international law, human rights, and labour law in the Australian context.

• Managed all correspondence, and convened conciliation conferences, mentions and hearings for all matters before the Commissioner, with an average of thirty matters on hand at any given time. Adapted previous systems to hybrid work practices as online proceedings and case management were integrated into Commissioner Wilson’s workflow.

• Managed the enterprise agreement practice area within Chambers from initial application to approval and publication within strict timeframes, averaging eight enterprise agreements approved each month over the course of my time in Chambers.

• Performed in depth research of case law and legislation, with a specific focus on the areas of employment and discrimination, as well as high volume document review, for matters including the high-profile SDA action against McDonald’s franchises for alleged systemic wage theft.
• Drafted and proofed affidavits and submissions for High Court and Federal Court matters including the significant employment law matter CFMMEU & Anor v Personnel Contracting Pty Ltd [2022] HCA 1.

• Provided legal and administrative support for work injury damages claims, workers compensation claims, and superannuation claims in a team with an extremely high volume of matters and a specific focus on the mental injury claims of police and emergency services workers.
• Drafted superannuation submissions, and liaised with superannuation funds and clients to ensure that matters progressed in a timely manner and all necessary information was provided swiftly to the relevant funds.
• Edited complex witness statements in collaboration with clients, and compiled briefs to counsel from large volumes of sensitive and complex evidence in work injury damages matters.

• Selected as a high performing student to give weekly seminars designed to complement the Criminal Law and Procedure course and consolidate students’ learning.
• Researched the curriculum, including any relevant developments in criminal law, to provide engaging and critically reflective tutorials and respond to student questions and concerns.

• Assisted clients in financial crisis from initial interview to file closure in attaining waivers and manageable payment plans for their debts and fines by advocating for clients to a variety of financial and government institutions, via phone, letter, and, where necessary, AFCA or VCAT complaint.
• Drafted documents including statements of financial position, closure letters, and debt waiver requests.

• Prepared culturally appropriate community legal education resources on the dangers and prevalence of internet scams for use in remote communities in the Northern Territory.
• Provided witness support to individuals providing evidence in a highly sensitive family violence matter at a remote community on the Tiwi islands.

• Prepared client files for applications to the National Redress Scheme for victims of childhood institutional sexual abuse.

• Wrote ‘What Can Litigation Offer Native Title Holders in the Torres Strait in the Fight for Climate Justice?’, a paper analysing the nature of the loss which Traditional Owners in the Torres Strait stood to suffer as a result of climate change.
• The paper argued that, considering the decision in Sharma v Minister for the Environment, this unique vulnerability, amongst other factors, presented a strong argument for the position of native title holders in the Torres Strait as a group to whom a duty of care may be held in relation to climate change.

• Proposed, prototyped, and created the ‘Intake Assistant,’ an application for mobile and desktop which streamlined the client intake process in the Motor Vehicle Accident Clinic at Westjustice.

• Wrote ‘The Time We Are Owed’, a thesis proposing that ‘free time’ should be understood as a good of primary importance within liberal proceduralist accounts of distributive justice.

• Prepared and delivered tutorials for COMM1000 ‘Creating Social Change: From Innovation to Impact’.

• After obtaining my Cambridge English Language Training Accreditation from RMIT in 2017, I worked in a public high school in a small town in Northern Chile as part of a dual initiative of the Chilean Ministry of Education and the UN Development Program named English Opens Doors to improve English education in Chilean public schools.
