The Centre for Human Rights, Multiculturalism, and Migration (CHRM2) organised a thank giving on 23rd of December 2021 to celebrate the inclusion of the Journal of Southeast Asian Human Rights (JSEAHR) in Scopus Elsevier. Vice Rector of the University of Jember, Prof. Slamin who opened the event congratulated the Centre because JSEAHR has made a milestone as the first journal in the University that has been indexed by Scopus. Scopus notified the editorial office on 13th of December 2021 about the inclusion or for about seven months after the submission.
JSEAHR has been an integral part of the CHRM2’s strategic plan to become the centre of excellence of human rights in Southeast Asia. In the last two years, CHRM2, editor in chief and all staffs have prepared and enhanced the quality of articles published in JSEAHR prior to the submission to Scopus Elsevier. Editorial board members, reviewers, authors, and articles truly represented international realm. The chair of CHRM2, Dr. Al Khanif hopes that some journals under the Centre are also preparing for the inclusion in the Scopus Elsevier.
