Did you know that riding a bicycle can help reduce deforestation? “Road bike use far less rubber than car tires, which helps to reduce demand for rubber and can save rainforests from being converted to plantations” (Click here to see more benefits from cycling).
UNEJ’s Go Green Campaign fun ride hopes to demonstrate that riding bicycles around campus is an enjoyable and active way to lower our collective carbon footprint. Instead of using a vehicle like a motorbike or an automobile, try committing to riding a bicycle around campus instead!
(CHRM2’s third monthly “Ring the Bell Ride” was hosted on March 1st, with Polygon as the main sponsor).
